The return of the shock treatment....Portugal...

"Depois de terem sido praticamente abandonados na década de 70, os impulsos eléctricos voltaram a a ser usados nos principais hospitais do País para tratar doentes psiquiátricos. Sobretudo nas depressões graves. Em três deles, Santa Maria, Amadora-Sintra e Hospitais da Universidade de Coimbra, ...

...a opinião do psiquiatra  João Cabral  Fernandes. "É  um método grosseiro e desumano", alerta o especialista, sublinhando que por ser uma prática recorrente no Hospital Júlio de Matos...

...Já Maria Luísa Figueira, directora do serviço de psiquiatria do Santa Maria, garante que o método é eficaz."

Dr. J. Paul Muizelaar and Dr. Rudolph Schrot...

"Two neurosurgeons from the University of California, Davis have been banned from performing medical research on humans after they allegedly experimented on three patients without university permission...documents that allegedly show the surgeons obtained consent of three terminally ill patients with malignant brain tumours to introduce bacteria into their open head wounds in hopes that it might save their lives...the university has found that two of the three patients developed sepsis and died.
...One of the doctors, J. Paul Muizelaar, 65, holds a prestigious position as chair of the Department of Neurological Surgery. Rudolph Schrot, 44, worked under Muizelaar as an assistant professor and neurosurgeon.
Muizelaar, however, doesn't believe he did anything wrong.
"Muizelaar reportedly said, "there are people who blatantly break the rules that endanger all of their research programs. We certainly didn't blatantly trample any rules."

"In 2008, the doctors proposed treating a glioblastoma patient with bacteria applied to an open wound to "attack the tumor," then later withholding antibiotics and letting the bacteria do its work.
Schrot contacted the FDA but ultimately was cautioned that animal studies were needed first...
And so the doctors continued with preclinical work, arranging for a rat study..."
http://www.sacbee.com/2012/07/22/4648415/2-uc-davis-neurosurgeons-accused.html  ...a rat study where at least that we know 2 patients human beings were killed..

Who are the people that this
prestigious neurosurgeon with a position as chair of the Department of Neurological Surgery talks when he says "there are people who blatantly break the rules that endanger all of their research programs..." and who are the human guinea pigs of those people...can they be epileptics/people with other type of brain tumours?????

Are the articles about medical research that they said that are made with animals made with human beings??????
Are human beings considered rats by some scientists, rats that they can play with and torture in studies similar to this :

"For a diagnosis of cancer, which did not had, a man has undergone surgery to remove the prostate. And to save a life was not in danger after all ended up with chronic problems ranging from impotency to incontinence.
A pathologist ... most renowned Portuguese, Jose Cortez Pimentel, was ordered to pay close to a hundred thousand euros to Robert Berger.

The case began in 1998 when Roberto Berger, then 59, was subjected to total prostatectomy to remove the prostate, according to the diagnosis Jose Manuel Cortez Pimentel, had an adenocarcinoma, or cancer. In the analysis operation performed after the gland, there was, however, detected the presence of cancerous tissue ....

After eight years, the Civil Court of Lisbon gave reason to Robert Berger, giving as evidence that the defendant's diagnosis was wrong, despite claims that the same blades, with the filaments removed by biopsy to Robert Berger, had tissue carcinogen. To try to prove his claim, Cortez Pimentel presented in court, first, opinions of other experts, before a photo, ensured that the tissues had cancer....

However, the blade also had some evidence of cancer tissue. Roberto Berger realized then that this was not exactly the same - as it should be - the other copy he had in his power (by initially have thought of being operated on by a surgeon in France who had requested the material analysis). And it was on the foreign elements and unmatched blade that the cancerous tissue was.

The strategy follows the prosecution was trying to prove that the affected tissue did not belong to the patient. " And then came the decisive role of the Institute of Molecular Pathology and Immunology of the University of Porto that, in comparing the two elements, to prove that the affected tissue was not genetically compatible with the patient's"

Portugal paedophile ring...Casa Pia...

"Arrest of Portugal’s elite in paedophile scandal
A scandal concerning the abuse of children in care homes has led to the arrest of several members of Portugal’s social and political elite.

The allegations are that state-run care homes were a target for wealthy and influential paedophiles whose activities were covered up for decades by successive Portuguese governments.

Once the allegations became public Teresa Costa Macedo, a former Secretary of State for the Family, revealed that she knew about them whilst she was a minister in the early 1980s and that very influential people were involved. In 1982, she claimed she told General Antonio Ramalho Eanes, Portuguese President from 1976-1986, about the allegations.

Costa Macedo warned that Silvino “was just one element in a huge paedophile network that involved important people in our country... It wasn’t just him. He was a procurer of children for well-known people who range from diplomats and politicians to people linked to the media.”

http://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2003/06/port-j18.html

"The Casa Pia child sexual abuse scandal was a case of child sexual abuses involving a number of children and employees at Casa Pia, a Portuguese state-run institution for the education and support of poor children and under-age orphans.
Portuguese Judiciary Police (Polícia Judiciária) officials estimate that more than 100 boys and girls of the 4,600 pupils enrolled in Casa Pia at the time, including some deaf and mute, may have been sexually abused throughout several decades.

The trial is one of the longest-running in Portuguese history, lasting more than five years, with testimony from more than 800 witnesses and experts
Portuguese Judiciary Police (Polícia Judiciária) first accused the caretaker of a Casa Pia state-run children's home in 1981 of raping dozens of children over a period of 30 years, even though some reports of abuse pre-date the 1974 Carnation Revolution.

Police accused the perpetrators of supplying children to men from Portugal and other countries, including to some prominent public figures in Portugal.

The scandal of alleged sexual abuse at the state-run Casa Pia orphanages resurfaced when several former orphanage children came forward with accusations of abuse. The accusations linked some politicians, diplomats, and media celebrities—all of whom were alleged to have conspired in a pedophilia ring that had operated for decades.
The scandal broke in September 2002 when the mother of one alleged victim, known as Joel, complained of abuse by staff at a Casa Pia house.

Former Casa Pia children came forward to publicly accuse several personnel of sexual abuse. The weekly magazine Visão reported that a Portuguese diplomat, Jorge Ritto, was removed from his post as consul in Stuttgart (1969–1971) after German authorities complained to Lisbon about his involvement with an under-age boy in a public park.

Accused were diplomat Jorge Ritto, Carlos Cruz (a famous Portuguese television presenter), Carlos Silvino (a.k.a. Bibi, an employee of Casa Pia and a former pupil in the institution), Ferreira Diniz (a physician from Lisbon), Hugo Marçal (a lawyer who represented Carlos Silvino in the early stages of the process) and among other individuals, a marine archaeologist.

Secretary of State for Labor and Training from 1999 to 2001, Paulo Pedroso, who was responsible for the Casa Pia homes, which care for some 4,600 children at 10 centers around Portugal, was suspected of 15 cases of sexual violence against minors, which allegedly took place between 1999 and 2000. His case was also subsequently dropped.

The Socialist Party leader at the time, Eduardo Ferro Rodrigues, who was a close personal friend of Paulo Pedroso, offered to undergo police questioning after "he had learned of plans to implicate him in the [Casa Pia] scandal". The weekly paper Expresso published a report on 25 May 2003, from four children who said they saw Ferro Rodrigues at locations where sexual abuse was taking place. ...
Rodrigues has said, "I want it to be clear: our fight will be serene but determined and it is and will only be directed at those who are responsible for this defamation, whatever their objective is."

Dr. Jayant Mukundray Patel

"Jayant Mukundray Patel (born 10 April 1950) is an American surgeon who is at the centre of a 2005 scandal in which he was accused of gross incompetence while working at Bundaberg Base Hospital in Queensland, Australia. In June 2010, Patel was convicted of 3 counts of manslaughter and one case of grievous bodily harm, and sentenced to seven years imprisonment.

...Patel was born in Jamnagar in Gujarat, India. Initially, he studied surgery at the M.P. Shah Medical College at the Saurashtra University, obtaining a master's degree. He then moved to the United States where he received further surgical training at the University of Rochester School of Medicine as a surgical intern and a resident in surgery.

...In 1984 in Buffalo, health officials cited Patel for failing to examine patients before surgery...

...In 1989, Patel moved to the Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Portland, Oregon. Medical staff allege he performed surgery when not rostered to work, operated on other surgeon's patients, operated unnecessarily and caused serious injury and death. In 1998, Kaiser Permanente restricted Patel's practice. He was instructed not to operate on the liver or pancreas and to seek second opinions before performing other surgeries. In September 2000, after reviewing four cases involving the deaths of three patients, the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners made Patel's restriction statewide.

...In 2003, Patel moved to the position of Director of Surgery at the Bundaberg Base Hospital where he was employed by Queensland Health (the state government department of health in Queensland) under an "area of need" program where overseas trained doctors are employed in predominantly regional understaffed areas. He was appointed despite having no specialist surgical qualifications.

...In 2007, he was filmed in Oregon by the Nine Network's current affairs program, 60 Minutes in an investigation by reporter Paul Barry and producer Stephen Rice.

...On 22 November 2006, a magistrate issued a warrant for Patel's arrest and extradition to Australia. He was charged with three charges of manslaughter, five charges of causing grievous bodily harm, four of negligent acts causing harm and eight charges of fraud. He was extradited to Australia on 21 July 2008."

...An independent surgeon, Peter Woodruff, who was asked by Justice Davies to examine Patel's work believes that Patel negligently caused 13 deaths, and possibly up to 17."

Casa Pia Guinea pigs - Oral Medicine/ Neuroscience...

“Children who were sexually abused used in renowned dental mercury experiment Lisbon, Portugal ... children wrongly used in a medical mercury experiment at the Casa Pia, an institution already riddled with scandal.
... the atrocities of the Children’s Amalgam Trial (CAT), a U.S.-based dental research project conducted in the U.S. and Portugal with another horrific scandal at the Casa Pia, which numerous NGO’s and scientists are calling the “Children’s Mercury Experiment.”

The CAT was a prospective study implanting children ages 8-10 years old with dental mercury to see if they would sustain neurological or physical damage.

The 11 million dollar study, authorized by Dr. Norman Braverman of the National Institutes of Health, was conducted from 1997-2005 by the University of Washington in conjunction with the University of Lisbon and was funded by U.S. tax dollars through the National Institute of Dental and Cranial Research.

The test subjects included 500 low income and minority children in the U.S. and 500 children at the Casa Pia here in Lisbon.  Half of the test subjects were implanted with mercury, some receiving up to nineteen mercury fillings.  ...

“The consent forms were misleading and outright bogus. 100 of the orphan’s forms were thought to be signed by the same doctor, who was investigated in the Casa Pia sex scandal in 2002,” says Gallagher, who further claims, “This is a violation of the Nuremberg Code, which prohibits human experimentation without informed consent.”

Sandy Duffy...once stated, “Weighing dental industry economic interests against the unnecessary addition of mercury to the body burden of powerless children is unethical, morally bankrupt and an intentional assault and battery.”
This dental experiment was occurring at the same time that some of these children were involved in the sex scandal....

“Dental associations and government agencies bragged about the Children’s Amalgam Study and reported that there was no harm done,” says injured Consumer Advocate, Freya Koss, Director of the Pennsylvania Coalition for Mercury Free Dentistry.”

"Additionally, Boyd Haley, PhD, chairman of IAOMT's Scientific Advisory Board and Professor Emeritus at the University of Kentucky, found major scientific flaws in the CAT study design and conclusions.
Dr. Olympio Pinto, a dental expert from Brazil interviewed for the Portuguese expose, warned of dental mercury: "The scientific evidence in over 30,000 papers is clear...and we do not need any further findings, needing to submit even animals, let alone humans, to experiments we can anticipate the results of, based on pure science."

Leo Cashman of DAMS, a non-profit that co-submitted the complaint, agreed: "We want justice for the children subjected to corrupt experimentation and an end to the use of toxic mercury fillings."

I wonder if these are the same dentists who receive checks for treatments offered to children and pregnant ... would be a poisoned gift for them ... not knowing what they could expect to be implanted ...

Nurse Stephan Letter...

"Stephan Letter (born 17 September 1978 in Herdecke, North Rhine-Westphalia) is a German former nurse and serial killer known to be responsible for the killings of at least 29 patients while he worked at a hospital in Sonthofen, Bavaria between January 2003 and July 2004. The acts have been described as Germany's largest number of killings since World War II...

...Stephan Letter was a nurse at a hospital that treated a large elderly population.During his employment from January 2003 to July 2004, a pattern of more than 80 deaths occurred on his shifts. Officials exhumed the bodies of more than 40 patients, but another 38 had already been cremated. Lesser became a suspect after officials learned that large quantitites of drugs, including the muscle relaxant lysthenon, had gone missing from the hospital.

...He confessed to some of the killings, but insisted that he acted out of sympathy and a desire to end the suffering of sick patients. However, the prosecution indicated that Letter was not the assigned nurse for some of the patients and that some of the patients were in stable condition and due to be released from the hospital."
