Hospital Universitário de Santa Maria - Lisbon...

At least two cases have happened, if there are more cases even if regarding other types of surgeries we expect to be disclosed...

Two girls under 30 years whose single health problem regarding the neurologic part was epilepsy.

They had epilepsy for years, medication was not working and they were sent to a epilepsy surgery in the University Hospital de Santa Maria in Lisbon, a affiliated Hospital of the University of Lisbon.

Before the surgery several exams have been developed to attest epilepsy, and the physical and mental health good conditions of patients.

One of the girls (A) just had 1 surgery in 2009, the other one  (B) had 2 surgeries with the same team the 2ª surgery was also with the neurosurgeon Dr. ALEXANDRE RAINHA SILVA CAMPOS (1ª surgery around 2000 they had open the head but they were afraid and they did not cut anything, 2ª in 2012 to placed neurostimulators in the head,)

The neurosurgeon Prof. Dr. ANTÓNIO JOSÉ DE CARVALHO GONÇALVES FERREIRA well know:

Both girls who had no mental problems besides epilepsy after the epilepsy surgery they were referred to the psychiatry because of behaviour problems one of the girls (A) was suffering with auditory persecution, hearing people making comments on every action of her...they start living in FEAR...

Where they informed of this "Risk" of the surgery by any member of the team? NO!!!! ...

Epileptics  like others were once considered by eugenics "life unworthy of life" !!!!!

In other countries is happening the same and the result is one...Psychiatry... people after the epilepsy surgery complaining of torture, hearing voices in their head...

"Psychosis after epilepsy surgery: Report of three cases

…Temporal lobe epilepsy surgery has become a successful alternative in patients with refractory epilepsy. However, the outcome of epilepsy surgery may be affected by the occurrence of postsurgical psychiatric symptoms, such as psychosis….

A 46-year-old, right handed woman was admitted to the Epilepsy Center of Ramos Mejía Hospital (ECRMH) with the diagnosis of refractory temporal lobe epilepsy….One month after the intervention,
the patient entered a transitory and moderately depressive state that spontaneously remitted. A year later, she developed ... auditory hallucinations (many voices commenting on her actions) that motivated referral to the emergency department of our hospital.

A 41-year-old, right-handed man was admitted to ECRMH for refractory temporal lobe epilepsy to evaluate the possibility of surgical intervention…Seventy-two hours postsurgery, he developed an acute psychotic episode, characterized by visual and kinetic hallucinations (“the surrounding and the people came over me”), auditory hallucinations (the voice of his neurologist)..."

Deafness..."Crying hands"...

"Along with people diagnosed with schizophrenia, epilepsy, so-called feeblemindedness, hereditary blindness, severe hereditary physical deformity, severe alcoholism, and other ailments, the deaf were systematically turned in to local Nazi officials by teachers, nurses, social workers, and doctors. In most cases they were sterilized. Some were forced to abort pregnancies. Others were murdered...."  and others use for torture in research...and death...

Dr. J. Paul Muizelaar and Dr. Rudolph Schrot...

"Two neurosurgeons from the University of California, Davis have been banned from performing medical research on humans after they allegedly experimented on three patients without university permission...documents that allegedly show the surgeons obtained consent of three terminally ill patients with malignant brain tumours to introduce bacteria into their open head wounds in hopes that it might save their lives...the university has found that two of the three patients developed sepsis and died.
...One of the doctors, J. Paul Muizelaar, 65, holds a prestigious position as chair of the Department of Neurological Surgery. Rudolph Schrot, 44, worked under Muizelaar as an assistant professor and neurosurgeon.
Muizelaar, however, doesn't believe he did anything wrong.
"Muizelaar reportedly said, "there are people who blatantly break the rules that endanger all of their research programs. We certainly didn't blatantly trample any rules."
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/23/j-paul-muizelaar-rudolph-uc-neurosurgeons_n_1695562.html

"In 2008, the doctors proposed treating a glioblastoma patient with bacteria applied to an open wound to "attack the tumor," then later withholding antibiotics and letting the bacteria do its work.
Schrot contacted the FDA but ultimately was cautioned that animal studies were needed first...
And so the doctors continued with preclinical work, arranging for a rat study..."

Who are the people that this
prestigious neurosurgeon with a position as chair of the Department of Neurological Surgery talks when he says "there are people who blatantly break the rules that endanger all of their research programs..." and who are the human guinea pigs of those people...can they be epileptics/people with other type of brain tumours?????

Are the articles about medical research that they said that are made with animals made with human beings??????
Are human beings considered rats by some scientists, rats that they can play with and torture in studies similar to this :

"For a diagnosis of cancer, which did not had, a man has undergone surgery to remove the prostate. And to save a life was not in danger after all ended up with chronic problems ranging from impotency to incontinence.
A pathologist ... most renowned Portuguese, Jose Cortez Pimentel, was ordered to pay close to a hundred thousand euros to Robert Berger.

The case began in 1998 when Roberto Berger, then 59, was subjected to total prostatectomy to remove the prostate, according to the diagnosis Jose Manuel Cortez Pimentel, had an adenocarcinoma, or cancer. In the analysis operation performed after the gland, there was, however, detected the presence of cancerous tissue ....

After eight years, the Civil Court of Lisbon gave reason to Robert Berger, giving as evidence that the defendant's diagnosis was wrong, despite claims that the same blades, with the filaments removed by biopsy to Robert Berger, had tissue carcinogen. To try to prove his claim, Cortez Pimentel presented in court, first, opinions of other experts, before a photo, ensured that the tissues had cancer....

However, the blade also had some evidence of cancer tissue. Roberto Berger realized then that this was not exactly the same - as it should be - the other copy he had in his power (by initially have thought of being operated on by a surgeon in France who had requested the material analysis). And it was on the foreign elements and unmatched blade that the cancerous tissue was.

The strategy follows the prosecution was trying to prove that the affected tissue did not belong to the patient. " And then came the decisive role of the Institute of Molecular Pathology and Immunology of the University of Porto that, in comparing the two elements, to prove that the affected tissue was not genetically compatible with the patient's"

Dr. Jayant Mukundray Patel

"Jayant Mukundray Patel (born 10 April 1950) is an American surgeon who is at the centre of a 2005 scandal in which he was accused of gross incompetence while working at Bundaberg Base Hospital in Queensland, Australia. In June 2010, Patel was convicted of 3 counts of manslaughter and one case of grievous bodily harm, and sentenced to seven years imprisonment.

...Patel was born in Jamnagar in Gujarat, India. Initially, he studied surgery at the M.P. Shah Medical College at the Saurashtra University, obtaining a master's degree. He then moved to the United States where he received further surgical training at the University of Rochester School of Medicine as a surgical intern and a resident in surgery.

...In 1984 in Buffalo, health officials cited Patel for failing to examine patients before surgery...

...In 1989, Patel moved to the Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Portland, Oregon. Medical staff allege he performed surgery when not rostered to work, operated on other surgeon's patients, operated unnecessarily and caused serious injury and death. In 1998, Kaiser Permanente restricted Patel's practice. He was instructed not to operate on the liver or pancreas and to seek second opinions before performing other surgeries. In September 2000, after reviewing four cases involving the deaths of three patients, the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners made Patel's restriction statewide.

...In 2003, Patel moved to the position of Director of Surgery at the Bundaberg Base Hospital where he was employed by Queensland Health (the state government department of health in Queensland) under an "area of need" program where overseas trained doctors are employed in predominantly regional understaffed areas. He was appointed despite having no specialist surgical qualifications.

...In 2007, he was filmed in Oregon by the Nine Network's current affairs program, 60 Minutes in an investigation by reporter Paul Barry and producer Stephen Rice.

...On 22 November 2006, a magistrate issued a warrant for Patel's arrest and extradition to Australia. He was charged with three charges of manslaughter, five charges of causing grievous bodily harm, four of negligent acts causing harm and eight charges of fraud. He was extradited to Australia on 21 July 2008."

...An independent surgeon, Peter Woodruff, who was asked by Justice Davies to examine Patel's work believes that Patel negligently caused 13 deaths, and possibly up to 17."
